The Role:

Ash is a remote diagnostics testing company that is reimagining the future of at-home care. Our platform allows for plug-n-play optionality so that providers can choose what services they need to enhance their own offering.

We strongly believe healthcare should be accessible and inclusive to everybody. However, the current testing landscape falls short of that goal. Ash’s at-home testing kits are designed to bridge the gap. As we keep working to grow and to deliver on this mission, we’re looking for a Technical Lead who is as excited about this mission as we are.

As a technical lead you will hold an important leadership role on an engineering team by informing and leading the development/release of new features and improvements, developing best practices and bringing engineering leadership to a scrum team. Additionally, as a technical leader, you will bring domain expertise to the room and be a key voice in the design and planning of Ash's technology architecture.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience building and scaling APIs and Web Applications using Python (Javascript is a major plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and experience coordinating a scrum team
  • Strong experience designing both SQL and No-SQL style databases
  • A strong understanding of design considerations for the development of RESTful apis
  • Work with a strong emphasis on continuous integration and testing
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining microservice-oriented architectures
  • Experience building healthcare applications and interfacing with healthcare entities
  • Fluency with Docker/Kubernetes

  • Partners: Ash's most recent partners include a major hospital system, a national delivery company, and 3 telehealth partners.
  • Capabilities: Ash offers 30+ at-home diagnostics including STIs, PrEP, hormone testing, and metabolic panels to name a few. We are the only at-home diagnostics solution capable of serving all 50 states.
